2/4/2010-Route 36 Detour

On Wednesday, January 27th the bridge carrying Hampshire St over the Spicket River in Lawrence was closed for reconstruction.   The bridge will remain closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout its reconstruction, which is projected to be completed in fall 2011.  Due to the closing of the bridge, the Route 36 will now be on detour until the bridge reopens.

The detour will be as follows:

Outbound will detour route from Hampshire St., right at Auburn St., left at Bennington St., over the Spicket River, left at Erving Ave and right onto Hampshire St.

Inbound will detour route from Hampshire St., left at Erving Ave, right at Bennington St., over the Spicket River, right at Auburn St. and left onto Hampshire St.
