Boston Commuter Service
The MVRTA Boston Commuter Bus allows you to eliminate the hassle from your daily commute, by giving you a virtually one stop ride. With the Boston Commuter Bus you can let one of our friendly drivers do all the work, while you sit back, relax, read a book or even take a nap in one of three inbound trips in the morning and three outbound trips in the evening.

- Corner of Broadway (Rt. 28) & Bowdoin St, Lawrence
- Mt. Vernon and Broadway, Lawrence
- Shawsheen Sq. @ Rt. 28, Andover
- Andover Center Municipal Parking lot, Andover
- Faith Lutheran Church Park & Ride, Andover
All our buses are accessible to persons with disabilities
Due to increased ridership we will add a back up BC bus in the morning and in the afternoon starting on September 6th. Efficiency will be monitored on all trips.
In the morning, the B3-BU (Back-Up) will leave:
Pelham St. Park & Ride, Methuen at: 7:00
McGovern Transportation Center: 7:15
Corner of Broadway & Bowdoin St.: 7:22
Mt. Vernon & Broadway, Lawrence: 7:25
Shawsheen Sq., Andover: 7:30
Andover Center - Municipal Parking Lot 7:35
Faith Lutheran Church Park & Ride 7:45
And arrive in Govt. Center at: 8:35
In the afternoon, the B4-BU will leave:
100 Cambridge St. at: 4:55
State Transportation Building: 5:05
Essex & Kingston Streets: 5:15
Attention: The Boston Commuter Bus will drop off on Balmoral St. on the Inbound as well as the Outbound Trips. The bus will no longer travel down Haverhill St from York St. to North Main St.
Please note that the MVRTA Boston Commuter buses operate Monday through Friday.
There is no Saturday or Sunday Boston Commuter service.
MVRTA does not operate on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Patriots' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
